I have been wearing girls and women’s jeans for over 10yrs. My waist in men’s is 32-34 depending on 100% cotton or a blend. I generally buy jeans in a size 10 L or XL as I am tall. Size 10 fits fitted in the thighs and loose down the leg for straight leg. I use to wear Express Barely Boot cut. They are a little too feminine looking now as they are fitted to the knee and then a more slim boot cut down. I like AE Skinny jeans, and Levi’s 314 straight leg now. I actually lengthen the front pockets to be useful.

Welcome aboard - you seem to have found your niche in Girls Jeans knowing your way around the other side of the aisle. One thing - for your slim frame the Junior sizing may be up your alley. With the Misses sizing the thigh and butt have begun to develop although the waist may stay the same which always poses a problem for the guy wearing Girls Jeans. Now amplify that girly development and the more mature woman will go to the other (guys) side of the aisle for a better fit. The details in the fit and accessories (pockets etc.) is all in finding something that works for you !
Tell us about the pocket lengthening - always thought the pockets were fixed and part of the pant unless you remove the existing pockets and retro fit with larger one or fasten off the side like cargo pants.

Hi 👋 So to lengthen the pockets I use to take them to my dry cleaner as she also did alterations ($10 a pocket). Now I just do it myself. I have a sewing machine and I looked on YouTube for videos. It is pretty easy, for me. I just remove the stitching at the bottom of the pocket or cut it open. You can make your own pocket extension or buy pocket repair kits with remade pockets. Then I line it up, pin it and sew it in. It’s fun, you learn a new skill and it took me a little over an hour to make and stitch them in. After you open up the pocket bottom you want to put your cellphone in and measure how deep you want it. I have found that AE skinny jeans have a pretty deep front pocket for women’s jeans, but I still extend them a couple inches.
