All kinds of long pants jeans with different leg (ankle) applications:
Tight like tights (jeggings) Boot Cut Flared (think sailor jeans) and just plain ole normal everyday jeans
Then there are capris and bermudas .....
Finally the Jean Denim Shorts my favorite. These too have different applications:
Hems that are Cuffs that are rolled or folded over double thickness (my personal favorite) Frayed like they were freshly cut and the fabric unhemmed and the regular finished hem to prevent the fraying
Like the long pants fare they are available in a variety of colors with and without seaming detail; pockets; belt loops and fitting problems - low rise and hip huggers.
And then like my moniker (kiltskirtskort) I wear more than jeans and shorts having an affinity for leg exposing wear - kilts; skirts and skorts. Denim fabric the material of choice except the tartan kilts.
Yes the denim material has come a long way from the gold miners camp in the California Sierras. Not quite as durable but a great deal more fashionable.

For me its skorts...I search for them everyday on etsy or ebay or various other sites. They are huge as in popular right now in Asia. You look at any asian (korean/chinese) clothing site and there are tons of them and search for skort...You will find thousands upon thousand of them. Myself i dont know how many i own i would say close to 30 and one day i plan on wearing every single one of them in public. (Of course i say that and would love to but who knows if i will
