Sorry for bumping up a 5 years old topic, but because there aren't many topics on this board I thought it wouldn't be a problem and you might still like my reply.
I'm a 34years old man living in west europe and I definately know the brand ONLY jeans. It's a brand for girls and they were very succesful in the past 15-years. They have many stores in west europe. Their first jeans types (called 'auto pant') were very populair and many girls weared them. It was really a hype. I always found the back pocket stitching looking very sexy. It's an unique 'V-type' pocket stitching that allows easy for someone to recognize that it is an ONLY jeans (just the way you recognize Levi's jeans for example) The first jeans types have a red tag/logo with white letters on the right backpocket that reads 'ONLY'. The later types have a black tag/logo. The first types of ONLY were straight, slim and bootcut models. Most of all are lowrise jeans. There were some boyfriend models too but I didn't actually like them.
However, when skinny jeans became more populair, ONLY has made a move to very basic flat skinny jeans without any back pocket stitching and tags/logos. Nowadays it's quite difficult to recognize the jeans because it hasn't have the unique back pocket stitching and tags anymore. I really miss the old types. To my opinion the newer jeans types are really less nicer than the older types.
For about a few years the company started to produce also mens-wear under the name ONLY AND SONS. However there aren't any style similarities with the original ONLY brand. It is just a different brand.
For me the good news is that my wife still wear the older types of ONLY jeans which I bought for her at second-hand sites. Her butt looks great in it!
And the other good news for me is... as a man I wear ONLY jeans too (hehe)
My wife knows that I'm addicted to girls jeans and she doesn't care that I wear them as long they look right on me (I also own some other girls jeans that fit very well on me). So I searched for some ONLY jeans that fitts well on me even while they are particulairy girls style. Currently I own 3 different pairs of them.
I have no problem to wear them in public too. I find my butt looks great in them. Last summer I weared one of my ONLY jeans while we visited a city. I wore a short t-shirt so the backpocket stitching and red tag/logo of the jeans was clearly visible. The result? People just don't care about it, even not the (younger) girls. Maybe because this is because this type of jeans isn't sold anymore and therefore not quickly recognized anymore. In total three girls noticed them (I guess..because they were staring at my butt) and friendly smiled to me. Actually they were acting just normal. Maybe this was because I was with my wife and they thinked I was wearing them just because she likes them? Who knows lol
In my life I have seen up to 5 other guys in public places who also weared ONLY jeans. And sometimes they even appear on second-hand sites stated as 'unisex jeans'. But they are definately womens jeans. I still enjoy them, even when I wear them as a guy
That sounds great! Because skinny jeans is so mainstream and guys are starting to wear them just as tight, you can actually wear women's jeans, and you can easily blend in. Today at the the mall I wore legging tight moleton pants styled like leggings but with small front pockets, had my long shirt on, and to be honest, nobody really noticed they were juniors' pants, because the tight style is the rage right now, and the fabric is more pant like, which i prefer. As for the jeans itself, they don't look anything different you can't get at a local retailer here in the states. However, I do like their pant like leggings and sweat pants.
